How to Start Your Journey
Flying Start Advocates uses the secure Jane App for our online booking, video calls, and secure documentation. With the Jane App, you will be able to book appointments, review the meeting notes taken by our Registered Nurses, and pay for your appointments. You can also share your Jane App notes and allow access to your trusted support people.
Start by booking your Initial Consultation with us via Jane App. From there, we can discuss further options and find a plan that works for your individual needs.
If you are interested in one of our Monthly Subscriptions, please follow the link below. If you are interested in our hourly rate, please book individual appointments on Jane App.
Please note:
- Flying Start Advocate services are currently only available within the province of Alberta.
- Subscriptions can be canceled after a 3-month period, with 2 business days’ notice before the last day of the month.
Our ABCDs
Advocacy, Balance, Communication, and Documentation

With Flying Start Advocates, Registered Nurses will join you virtually (using your phone or a smart device) during your healthcare appointments. These Registered Nurses help to ensure that your medical concerns and questions are addressed at your appointment. Simultaneously, these Registered Nurses take accurate medical notes during your appointment. This means you can re-read what was discussed, understand your healthcare plan, and share this information accurately with your families and support people.
Flying Start Advocates will virtually attend the meetings of your choice.
Flying Start Advocates will always keep your medical information strictly confidential unless you give us express permission to share it with your families or support people.
Flying Start Advocates is always happy to have a follow-up conversation if you want clarification about our documentation.
Flying Start Advocates also provides a subscription-based monthly service to help ensure your healthcare professional is following your healthcare plan and notifying you about consultations, results, and referrals. This prevents you from falling through the cracks in our healthcare system.
